It all started after an internship in India, in the textile industry. As an international business student, I was supposed to do an internship abroad. Following a love affair, I wanted this professional experience to take place in India.
As for the textile industry, it was pure chance. An opportunity presented itself to me. My curiosity and open-mindedness allowed me to seize it.
So here I am in Tamil Nadu, in Tirupur, a city known worldwide for its textile production, particularly t-shirts.
As part of this experience, which up to that point had been the most enriching of my life, I had the chance to discover the inner workings of an industry that is very often criticized. I would even say too often criticized.
I could debate for hours to explain to you what the textile industry is benign for many regions and populations around the world. But that is not the point.
While working in this industry, I was led to visit factories where they produce t-shirts, bags, tote bags, household linen, etc. One observation: creating your own products can be simple and requires little equipment and therefore little investment.
Always attracted to entrepreneurship, I saw a great opportunity and started preparing a business plan.
Back in France, I bought a press and started creating my first t-shirts. For fun, I made a "BDSM (Business Development Sales & Marketing)" t-shirt and posted a video of it on TikTok. Against all odds, the video exploded, reaching over a million views. That's when I realized how important social media can be in building a brand.
Even though I wasn't very comfortable with content creation, I decided to challenge myself: 1 Creation per day for 1 year . Every day, I create a new product, put it on sale and share a video on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. This challenge pushes me to be creative and to get involved daily in developing my project.
